This history course explores significant people, events, and traditions that have shaped the world, including U.S. federal holidays, the Titanic, the Holocaust, the U.S. military, and enduring mysteries from throughout history. Students will participate in Socratic discussions and hands-on activities that build critical-thinking skills and deepen their understanding of the past.
Unit Schedule:
September & October: US Military*
November: America’s Federal Holidays
January & February: The Holocaust*
March & April: Titanic*
May: Mysterious Events*
Register á la carte or combine the 4 units with an asterisk (*) for a full high school elective or history credit.
Teacher Will Provide: Handouts & Lesson Plan/Assignments, Activity Supplies & The Federal Holidays Book
Parent Will Provide: Level appropriate Unit Textbooks (approx. $30/unit), basic school supplies
High School Credit*: Suggestions are provided in the individual units.
Grading: For this class, parents are responsible for assigning grades, while Liberty Grace Academy provides engaging instruction and meaningful learning experiences.
Make sure to add one Complete History Club Package per student before checking out.
